Beginner Game Tester (Entry Level / Fully Remote)

Beginner Level Virtual Board

Are you a gamer who loves finding bugs and breaking games? We're hiring beginner game testers to help us identify issues, glitches, and gameplay problems before our games hit the market. No professional experience needed—just passion for gaming and a keen eye for detail. If you enjoy exploring virtual worlds and reporting what you find, this remote role could be your entry ticket into the game industry.

Roles:

You'll play through our games on PC, console, or mobile platforms, systematically testing gameplay mechanics, graphics, performance, and user interface. Your job is to explore every corner of the game world, try unconventional play styles, and document any bugs, crashes, frame rate drops, or odd behavior you encounter. You'll write detailed bug reports describing exactly what went wrong, how to reproduce the issue, and the impact on gameplay.

Requirements:

What we're looking for:

  • A gaming PC, Mac, or console (we'll specify which platforms for each project).
  • Genuine enthusiasm for video games across different genres.
  • Ability to follow testing protocols and document findings clearly.
  • Strong communication skills to describe technical issues in plain language.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Reliable internet connection for downloads and submissions.
  • Willingness to learn industry-standard bug tracking tools.
  • Availability of at least 10-15 hours per week.

Skills/Background Needed:

You should have experience playing a variety of game types and understand basic gaming terminology. While no professional QA experience is required, curiosity about how games work and patience with repetitive testing tasks are essential. A background in gaming, even as a casual player, is perfectly sufficient.

Working Hours:

Flexible—work whenever it suits your schedule. We simply ask that you complete assigned tests within agreed deadlines.

Location:

Remote work online (USA preferred), but we consider applications from international testers with reliable connectivity.

Contract Length:

No fixed term. Ongoing work for testers who demonstrate quality and reliability.

Rate:

$35 per hour for active testing time and bug report submissions.

Why Join Us:

This is a legitimate way to break into game development and quality assurance. You'll build a portfolio of real testing work, develop industry skills, and potentially advance into more specialized QA roles. Plus, you get paid to do what gamers love.
