As a game tester, you'll play through games, complete specific tasks, document bugs and glitches, and provide feedback on gameplay experience. You'll be part of a creative team that shapes the future of interactive entertainment, and your observations directly impact game development.
Responsibilities/Roles:
- Play through assigned game levels and scenarios while documenting any issues or bugs you encounter.
- Follow detailed testing checklists to ensure all game features are working as intended.
- Report glitches, crashes, and gameplay problems using our simple reporting system.
- Provide honest feedback on game mechanics, difficulty balance, and user experience.
- Complete testing sessions within specified timeframes and submit detailed notes.
- Communicate with the development team about your testing findings.
Rate: $35 an hour
Requirements:
- Computer or gaming console capable of running modern games.
- Stable, reliable internet connection.
- Comfortable communicating in English.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and document findings accurately.
Skills/background needed: This is an entry-level position—no prior testing or gaming industry experience required. We're looking for genuine gamers with patience and a critical eye who can spot issues others might miss. Training on our testing procedures and reporting tools will be provided.
Contract: No fixed term
Hours per week: Flexible
