Virtual Writing Assistant - App Tester (Remote)

We're seeking a talented Virtual Writing Assistant with a keen eye for detail to join our remote team. In this role, you'll test writing and content creation applications, evaluate their features and user experience, then provide constructive feedback to help developers refine their tools. It's an ideal opportunity for writers and writing enthusiasts who want to shape the future of digital writing platforms while working flexibly from home.

Roles: Your day-to-day will involve downloading and testing writing apps and software, exploring their editing capabilities, formatting options, and overall functionality. You'll write detailed reports documenting your experience—highlighting what works smoothly, what feels clunky, and where improvements could be made. You'll test features like grammar checking, style suggestions, collaboration tools, and publishing integrations, then provide thoughtful analysis on usability and effectiveness.

Requirements: You'll need a computer or mobile device capable of running writing applications, along with a willingness to explore various platforms and provide honest, constructive feedback.

Contract length: No fixed term

Rate: $35 per hour (Rates may adjust based on app complexity and the depth of analysis needed)

Skills/background needed:

• Strong writing and communication skills—you'll be articulating detailed feedback clearly.
• Experience or genuine interest in writing tools, content management systems, or productivity software.
• Comfortable learning new applications independently and troubleshooting minor technical issues.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to spot usability problems and suggest practical solutions.
• Can commit to at least 5 hours weekly.
• Reliable internet connection and appropriate device for testing.

Hours per week: Flexible.

Location: Remote work online (USA preferred). We're actively hiring multiple writing assistants for this testing program right now.
